DESCRIPTION:Join Fall Creek Falls State Park July 20-24th for our Spirit of America Boating Youth Boating Camp! \nThis five day camp offers youth ages 12-15 the opportunity to learn essential water safety and boating skills and even obtain their boating license! Participants will learn how to operate small boats\, canoes\, kayaks\, sailboats\, and more! \n**All students that do not already have their boating license must purchase the $10 boating safety exam permit and bring it with them on the first day of camp.** \nThe first day of camp we will meet at the Rec Hall Building 2001 Village Camp Rd. Spencer\, TN 38585 \nProgram fee is $75. \nVisit the Event Page for further details and to apply for Spirit of America Boating Youth Camp. Applications due by July 1st.

SUMMARY:Wonderful Waterways Pontoon Tour@ Rock Island State Park
DESCRIPTION:Join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Aubrey for a pontoon float to Rock Island. Participants will enjoy a float down the Collins River and up the Caney Fork River to see the Island which gave the park its name. \nJoin Seasonal Interpreter Aubrey for a trip along the Collins River via pontoon boat\, to learn about the natural and cultural significance of Rock Island’s waterways. On these floats\, you will be able to enjoy the wonders of the Collins River\, view local wildlife\, and learn some history of the area. This is also a great opportunity to take some photos of the park from the water. This trip is recommended for families\, nature lovers\, and everyone in between. We will depart from the Kings Landing Boat Ramp and make our way down the Collins River to the Rock Island the park is named after. Feel free to bring snacks\, water\, cameras\, and an extra jacket in case it gets chilly! \nThe cost is $12 per person\, and there are limited spaces on these tours\, so be sure to register ahead of time. Please arrive 15 minutes early\, if possible\, to receive gear and a safety briefing. We will also begin the boarding process. Life jackets will be required on all floats. We have plenty of life jackets\, but feel free to bring your own. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. \nIn the event of inclement weather\, the event will be cancelled\, and all attendees will be refunded and notified by text message or email\, so be sure to provide a good method of contact when signing up. Refunds will only be offered if the event is cancelled by the park.
